Podiatry / Chiropody

When you consider that a person walks over 75,000 miles (or nearly two and a half times round the world) in the average lifetime, it's easy to understand why we develop foot problems. Some problems are inherited, and some develop from illnesses in middle age, or from the pressure of ill-fitting shoes. Three out of four people at the age of 70 have to see a podiatrist/chiropodist in order to remain comfortable, and by the age of 80, 90% of you will have seen a podiatrist/chiropodist at least once.

Whether this is your first contact with our clinic, or you are an existing patient, we offer you a warm welcome.
Whether you require routine maintenance to keep your feet comfortable, advice on a particular condition or a 6 monthly 'MOT' we can help you.

Our podiatrist/chiropodist provides a complete service covering all complaints concerning the feet with the exception of bone surgery. Much of our work is aimed at prevention and education. If you are diabetic you should be having an annual diabetic foot check with your Doctor/Practice Nurse, although we will carry out a diabetic foot check automatically and provide you with necessary diabetic foot care advice.

Not only can we treat ailments such as nails, corns and hard skin, we are qualified to help you with a wide range of conditions including:

  • General nail care

  • Ingrowing toe nails

  • Nail surgery

  • Diabetic footcare & advice

  • Gait Analysis

  • Orthotic therapy

  • Shockwave therapy

  • MLS Class IV Laser therapy for soft tissue injuries

  • Verrucas

  • Hard skin

  • Corns

New for 2019 we now offer extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) which is very effective for long term pain particularly achillies tendonitis and plantar fasciitis.
